About

A kinder choice. A healthier future.

For over four decades, my journey as a doctor has taught me that true wellbeing goes beyond treating disease. It begins with the choices we make — for ourselves, for others, and for every living being.

Ahimsa Ki Pathshala is my vision to nurture compassion, kindness, and respect for life in the next generation.

Dr. Rupa Shah, MBBS

Founder Ahimsa Ki Pathshala

Teaching kindness. Inspiring Ahimsa. Shaping tomorrow.

When we teach a child to respect every form of life, we don't just change one child — we change the future of humanity.
Our Dream

Every district in India with trained Ahimsa Upadeshaks. Every school with an Ahimsa Sandeshak. Every classroom raising Ahimsa Doots — lifelong ambassadors of kindness and responsibility.

Our Motto

Train the Mentor. Empower the Teacher. Inspire the Child. Transform the Nation.

Meet our experts empowering the next generation through ahimsa.

A passionate team united by one purpose — to nurture compassion, kindness, and respect for all living beings. Together, we bring Ahimsa into classrooms, communities, and everyday life to inspire a kinder future.

Every great movement begins with a simple question.

For centuries, India has offered the world Ahimsa — the philosophy of causing the least possible harm to any living being. It shaped the teachings of Mahavira, the Buddha, Gandhi, and countless others who came after them. Yet today, violence has crept quietly into daily life — into our words, our choices, our consumption, our treatment of animals and nature, even our relationship with ourselves.

Children are growing up surrounded by aggression, conflict, digital violence, and a widening distance from the natural world. Schools teach them mathematics, science, and language — but rarely how to recognize violence, or how to choose compassion instead.

That gap gave birth to Ahimsa Ki Pathshala.

Our vision is simple, and transformative:
To help every child recognize Himsa (violence) in everyday life, and consciously choose Ahimsa (non-violence).

Ahimsa is more than the absence of physical harm — it is a way of thinking, speaking, eating, consuming, caring, and living. It shows up in small daily choices: sharing instead of hurting, protecting instead of exploiting, conserving instead of wasting, respecting every form of life.

Ahimsa Upadeshaks

Master mentors trained deeply in the philosophy and practice of Ahimsa. They are the custodians of the movement, entrusted with training the teachers who follow.

Ahimsa Sandeshaks

School teachers who bring Ahimsa into the classroom through stories, discussion, activities, and everyday examples.

Ahimsa Doots

Young ambassadors of compassion, students who carry the practice of Ahimsa home to their families, friends, and communities.

Dr. Rupa Shah

Dr. Rupa Shah (MBBS) is trained in western medicine in Mumbai and is also trained in ‘Lifestyle Medicine’ from the Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. She developed a keen interest in natural healing therapies about 35 years ago and is treating her patients with the help of flower energy remedies, plant-based diet & lifestyle and other complementary therapies. Today, she is lecturing all over the world on this subject. While researching and treating patients, she came across Flower Remedies. On experiencing highly encouraging results from using flower remedies, she decided along with her doctor husband to produce and research Indian Flower Remedies, as the science is based on ancient philosophies. She has dedicated her life to researching bio-energy remedies and is sharing her findings with practitioners all over the world. Her qualification as an allopathic physician has helped her to convince her colleagues and evoke their interest in using bio-energy remedies. She uses her allopathic knowledge in her research to present it more scientifically. Finally, she helps people become healthy by reversing lifestyle related diseases like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, high cholesterol, thyroid through plant-based diet and lifestyle modification.

Vidya Anand

I am an English teacher with over 25 years of experience in the classroom—and an equally passionate animal lover. At the core of my life and work is ahimsa—the practice of non-violence and radical compassion toward all living beings. While I teach grammar and language with precision and care, I believe that true education goes beyond words; it is about nurturing hearts. I incorporate ahimsa into the school-prescribed lessons by infusing them with kindness, empathy, and respect—not by changing the content, but by bringing these values into how I teach and how I connect with my students. I use every teaching opportunity to show that kindness is not a soft ideal, but the most essential quality we can cultivate in ourselves. I am dedicated to helping parents and educators raise children who are not just literate, but deeply, bravely kind.
