Even when a kite is flown carefully, manja can become a hidden danger. Birds flying through the sky may get caught in it, leading to deep cuts, broken wings, severe injuries or death. It can also hurt people, cyclists and other animals.
🐿️ Why never use a catapult?
A catapult may look like a simple toy, but it can be a dangerous weapon in the hands of a child or adult. A small stone travelling at high speed can break bones, damage eyes, cause internal injuries or kill a bird or small animal.
Animals may be sitting quietly on a branch or moving across the ground, completely unaware of the danger. One careless shot can leave them badly injured and unable to fly, eat or protect themselves.
Using a catapult also teaches us to treat a living being as a target. Ahimsa teaches us the opposite—to see every living being as worthy of care and protection.
